The Himalayan Camp


“Apple Farm Activity Camp” is situated at the northern end of the Kullu valley, near village Shanag, It offers spectacular views of snow-capped peaks and wooded slopes, surrounded by towering peaks at an arms length. Activity base camp is a unique program for beginners. Which includes  various activities like white water rafting, rock climbing, rappelling, river crossing, snow craft, high altitude trekking, rope course, campfire, team games, fun games, visit to Manu temple, Hadimba temple, Vashishtha kund, hot water springs, old Manali, remote Himalayan village, Tibetan monastery , handicraft bazaar.

Day 1: Report at Nagpur/ Pune/ Raipur Railway station main Entrance , board train for Ambala Cant.

Day 2: Reach Ambala Cant. and proceed for Manali by Volvo bus.

Day 3:  Reach Manali. Transfer to Camp Apple Farm, near Nehru Kund rope bridge, village Shanag, Manali. 

Manali: Situated at the northern end of the Kullu valley, Manali has spectacular views of snow-capped peaks and wooded slopes. Surrounded by towering peaks at an arm's length, Manali’s major assets are its proximity to the snow line Camp setup, Orientation, Introduction of equipment. Acclimatize walk to Gautama Rishi Ashram at Goshal Village.

Day 4: Trek to Jogini waterfall and Vashishtha Kund (Natural Hot water spring).

Vashishtha Kund-3 km from Manali is the village of Vashishtha, which is renowned for its hot sulfur springs. The village is also the site of some old temples, dedicated to the great sage Vashishtha, and to Lord Rama. The Himachal Tourism sulfur baths are just beyond these shrines.

Day 5: Old Manali Trek.

Manu Mandir

This is dedicated to the sage Manu. Across the Manalsu river is the original village of Manali that houses the ancient temple of the sage Manu. Manali itself is named after Manu, who is said to have dwelt here.

Hadimba Mandir   Also known as Dhoongri Temple. The main feature of the Temple is a four-tiered pagoda-shaped roof and beautifully carved door.

Day 6: Adventure activities 

Rock climbing and Rappelling and River crossing

Day 7: White Water Rafting in Beas River. A thrilling experience 14km down the river.

Day 8: High altitude Trekking, 

Around Hampta pass or Solang Valley.

Day 9: After the morning activity session group is allowed to explore Manali Bazar.

Manali Bazaar: Famous for dry fruits, handloom, woolen caps, handicrafts, Kullu shawls, Grass shoes, etc. Evening departure to Ambala by Volvo bus

Day 10: Reach Ambala and board train to proceed for Nagpur/Pune/Raipur.

Day 11: Reach back to your destination and dispersal.

Camp Itinerary

  • Nagpur/ Pune/ Raipur- Delhi & back train journey by AC 3

  • Delhi - Manali - Delhi travel by AC bus coach.

  • Tented accommodation at Camp Apple Farm and at a higher campsite on multiple sharing basis. (Separate tents for boys and girls).

  • All meals in Manali.

  • Charges for all adventure activities mentioned in the itinerary.

  • Charges for internal transport.

  • Travel Insurance for every participant.

  • Mineral water bottle/cold drinks/beverages during the journey or at the campsite.

  • Food during the Train & Bus journey. 

  • Personal expenditure of any kind (Porterage, Telephone, Laundry, Room service, etc., if applicable).

  • Medical Expenses if any / if incurred.

  • Optional / Add on / Extra activity charges.

  • Expenses that are incurred due to reasons beyond the control of the organizers.

  • Any other charges not mentioned in the “Charges Include”.

  • Goods and Services Tax as applicable.
